Therma support

What it does

Therma reads your Apple Health data to find your sauna sessions and show them next to your sleep, heart rate and activity, day by day, with a journal for notes and how you felt. On Apple Watch it times each sauna round, shows your heart rate live, and saves the round to Health as a workout.

How to get it

Therma is in beta on TestFlight, by invitation. For now the builds sign in to one shared account and are for the developer only, so invitations are not open yet. To ask about joining later, email hello@productized.ltd.

Questions

Why does Therma ask for so many Health permissions, and all of my history?

Therma compares each day with your own baselines, so it needs your past readings as well as new ones. When Health asks, choose All Recorded Data and Future Data; with only a short window of history there are not enough nights to compare against. The full list of what it reads is on the privacy page.

You can change any permission later in the Health app's settings for Therma.

How does sync work?

Therma reads Health on your iPhone and saves daily summaries to its database. To sync now, pull down on Today or Sauna, or open Settings, Health & sync and tap the sync button; that screen also shows whether Health permissions were asked for, whether Health data is arriving, and whether the app is signed in. Each sync refreshes the most recent 14 days. To bring in older history, use Import history in Settings, Data management (1, 2 or 5 years).

The Apple Watch saves sauna rounds to Health, and the iPhone picks them up from there.

What do the numbers mean, and what don't they mean?

Today shows three rings, Sleep, Recovery and Training, with heart rate variability, time asleep and resting heart rate. Recovery compares your heart rate variability with your own 30-day median; for the first 30 days it says it is calibrating. The Sauna tab shows a heat dose for the day with a one-line reason, and each session has a Cardiac Load score from 0 to 10 and an energy figure shown as a range, not a single number. Tap "About this number" for how each one is worked out.

They describe patterns in your own readings. They show what tends to go together, not what causes what, and they are not medical advice or a diagnosis. If you are worried about your health, talk to your GP.

How do I sign in?

At the moment you don't: every build signs in automatically to one shared account, which is why the builds are for the developer only. Sign in with Apple is built and will replace the shared account before anyone else is invited.

How do I delete my data?

See Deleting your data below.

Deleting your data

In Therma, open Settings, Data management and tap Reset everything, then type ERASE to confirm. It cannot be undone. It deletes your daily summaries, workouts, stress figures, journal entries, sauna check-ins and comparison log from Therma's database, and resets the sauna streak counters.

It keeps your profile (including date of birth and sex), sauna goal targets and fixed baselines, and some other records, listed on the privacy page. There is no account deletion or data export in the app yet: to have everything deleted, email hello@productized.ltd.

Signing out clears this device only; the account keeps its data. Sauna workouts saved by the watch stay in Apple Health until you delete them in the Health app.
